This wine has the typical dark blue and violet hues. The wine has an aroma of a mixture of blackberry bramble, earth tones, and rich spices of clove, sage, and thyme. About the grapes
These grapes come from vineyards on the east side of the northern part of the San Joaquin Valley of California. The fruit benefits from the deep sandy loam soils that are comprised mainly of decomposed granite from the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Warm sunny days and cool nights with breezes coming from the San Francisco Bay and the Delta waterways allow the fruit to mature and have a proper balance between fruit character and structure.
