The blend and the vintage...In wine and at Wharton, the blend and the vintage make our class of ’47 unique. We traveled from across the world to be together - mingled countries and cultures, merged backgrounds and skills. It is said that stressed vines make the best wines. Together, we stressed and we struggled. Together, we coalesced as a unit through the quixotic timelessness of ephemeral moments in each others’ company. Together, we grew stronger. Like the best bottle of wine, our time together can never be recreated but its memory will live on. We are part of Wharton and Wharton is part of us. As such, our legacy is immortalized in the label - a Phoenix feather, and symbol of renewal, made up of our combined signatures. With this bottle and in celebration of our graduation, we will toast the friends we’ve made, the faculty and staff who guided our path, our Wharton family, and our lasting friendships for years to come.
